Child & Youth Services

It’s no secret that our world is constantly changing and evolving at a rapid rate and that our children are growing up in a very different world than we did. The youth of the world are faced daily with situations, confrontations and difficult decisions through which they must navigate, for the most part, on their own.

Then there is the terrible world of bullying, which has grown tremendously and not for the better. The physical violence and name calling of which bullying used to consist, has been trumped. The invention of social media has paved the way for a whole new method of bullying: cyber-bullying. With the impact of  bullying, drugs, alcohol, school, peers and the popular culture, it’s a wonder how our kids are making it through each day.

At Partners Counselling & Education Services, we are firm believers that our youth are our future and they need to be nurtured and cherished.

It’s inevitable that our youth will encounter challenges and hardships in their lives. We can provide them with the tools to develop resiliency against their detractors and the negative forces out there, so as to be able to bounce back just as strong.

Partners has trained Youth Counsellors with experience in many of the areas with which our youth struggle. We see youth clients and their parents and families individually and we have developed a number of psycho-educational groups to provide children and adolescents with the knowledge and self-confidence to face the world of today.

We deal with some of the most difficult realities our young people face: alcohol, drugs, sex, sexual abuse, date rape, self-harming and pregnancy – to name just a few. We treat children and young people with respect and dignity in a non-judgmental environment of privacy and confidentiality.

  1. Hi, I am interested in your child & youth services that you provide. I have 2 boys ages 11 & 12 years old, my son Ethsn us 12 and has been diadonsed ADHD & ODD with anger aggression. He is on Vyvanse & at times can become violent & unable to control his outburst. He has worked with my doctors & counsellors at school & is closely monitor by doctors with his medication. He is now starting high school & I feel he may need some outside counselling to help with the adjustment and to assist with the dumb sick of family life.
My 11year old son just needs to talk about his feelings around his brother and the negative treatment he received, several years of being the little brother of a big brother with several different diagnoses.
Please let me know what services you provide and the cost.
Thank-you so much, I look forward to hearing from you
    Monika
