Nick Goodman – General & Addictions Counsellor


After struggling with the judicial system, anger, addiction, depression and anxiety, Nick decided to seek help. Shortly after turning his life around Nick made the decision and enrolled in College. It was here that Nick began to combine his experiential wisdom with a formal education. He quickly accelerated and rose to the top of his class; Nick was elected Campus Valedictorian and graduated with Honours and a diploma in Addictions Counselling. Nick then proceeded to work as a Counsellor for two prestigious treatment centres.

After several years in the field, Nick decided to go back to school and further his studies. Nick enrolled with The University of Western Ontario to study Thanatology (grief and bereavement). During this time Nick also decided to pursue training in psychotherapy and started studying with the Gestalt Institute of Toronto.  Nick opened up his private practice to stay in the field while pursuing his education. After two years Nick graduated with his Certificate of Completion of the Two-Year Training in Gestalt Theory and Methodology. Nick is also in the final stages of receiving his certification in Grief and Bereavement through UWO.

With this chapter of Nick’s educational journey coming to an end, Nick looks once again towards the future.  Nick is currently composing his second book of poetry and plans on studying various healing techniques.  Nick always remembers to have one eye on the future one on the past and the rest of his being in the present moment. Since entering the field Nick has always remembered what led him into the counselling field and seeks to remember his true qualifications. Nick believes in change and has devoted his life to self-insight and personal growth. Nick stays in the field because of his faith in people and his unconditional positive regard for their choices. Nick is compassionate about his work and just recently volunteered in Greece as a Counsellor.  Nick has made the world his university and all of those around him his personal professors.
